Kentucky Gentleman is a blended bourbon whiskey produced by Barton Brands at its Bardstown, Kentucky distillery. It is composed of 51% Kentucky Bourbon and 49% grain alcohol, which allows it to still (barely) be called bourbon. Deep amber hue. Generous sweet wood and caramel aromas. A relatively viscous attack leads to a moderately full-bodied palate. Lingering, flavorful finish. Well balanced and straightforward with a slight burn.
In the glass, as in the bottle, the whiskey has an amber coloring that is more brown than copper. The nose and flavor alike are watery, with equal measures of caramel and corn sweetness.
