BARREL NATION PICK
Rebel is a LuxCo brand of wheated bourbon that is currently sourced from Heaven Hill.
NOSE: Caramel, cocoa and some berry notes. I get a little bit of barrel char in the background as well.
PALATE: Slightly earthy with hints of tobacco. Burnt brown sugar and orange peel followed by a hit of barrel char
FINISH:There’s a bit of dryness as the sip goes on, and it’s finish is on the longer side. Some nuttiness and grapefruit finishes well. I think this would go amazingly well in a cocktail like a smoked Old Fashioned. Good value for a cask strength wheater.
